Paint a pot

I got this idea from twitteratira.wordpress.com blog

Which she also sent hannah the cutters that we used

So over the last few weeks we’ve been collecting the items we needed

Here is a list of items we got

2 plant pots
Paint
The cutters
Air drying clay
Glue

First Hannah picked the Colour of paint she wanted to use and then set about painting the pots

Hannah wanted to use 2 different colours so when she had done the bottom half of both the plant pots we had to let them dry for a few days

Then it was back to painting the tops of the plant pots this time she chose orange this is to give the plant pots the looks of a sunset

After they had dried i got out the air drying clay and used cling film to wrap the rolling pin up

Then she rolled it out and cut out some butterfly’s ready to stick on the plant pots

Then Hannah got cleaned up while they dried

After about a day the paint was dry and now it was time to glue them on the plant pots which for this I did for her then we left them in the window to dry

Here is the finished project

I think she did a great job

The only thing left is to varnish them

Leaving poem

Today is Hannah’s last day at learning ladder and because it was her last day we got give a folder full of things that she had done at learning ladder

In the folder was painting she did plus the things she had learned and wonderful poem which I’m going to share with you

It’s called

sticky grubby me

There used to be so many,
Of my finger prints to see,
On the furniture and walls and things,
From sticky grubby me.

But if you stop and think a while,
You’ll see I’m growing fast,
These little handprints disappear,
You can’t bring them back.

So here’s a small reminder,
To keep-not wipe away,
Of tiny hands and how they looked,
To make you smile someday.

Here’s a photo of the poem we received

It’s a wonderful reminder of her time she spent there

Sheep painting

This morning Hannah got a wonderful gift through the post some amazing water pencils from twitteratira.wordpress.com

Hannah couldn’t wait to get started on her new project

I cut out some oval shapes for Hannah to draw round

Then it was time for her to get creative

Hannah draw round the oval shapes and added some grass

She loved the pencils and wanted to use all difference ones to colour her sheep in yes there is a pink sheep

This is the first time she’s used water pencils and I think she did really well
